Fotia
In 2017, Clay McCabe and I were both working as on-call carpenters at the Oregon Country Fair, which that year meant we were both working on the unofficial crew art piece - the Phoenix Fotia. Fotia was born in the year of the fire rooster. She is constructed of redwood, cedar, copper, steel, glass and vine maple by twenty-one collaborating artists and countless helping hands. Designed and led by artist Clay McCabe, Fotia represents strength, resilience, potential for growth and renewal in the chaos of the world. This chaos is our fire and from the fire there is opportunity to rise anew.

I did not come to construction crew prepared to make a movie, but when we brought the whole gang out to the Eclipse festival to do a major upgrade and really finish the artwork, I joined the crew as resident filmmaker.
Fotia debuted in July, 2017, at the Oregon Country Fair and was showcased at the Global Eclipse Gathering in August.

Fios
Fios is a Sea Stallion, he is the direct successor to Fotia. Clay bought me a train ticket up north to see my family in exchange for a little photoshoot of Fios at the Portland Winter Light Fest 2019.

Clay was interested in a color comparison, as the lights smoothly transition while you watch.

Then I went a little overboard

There is some video as well..
